My old 2008 Macbook is a 2ghz duo core with 2gb of ram and I can play sims 4 on that without it over heating but it just lags a lot. I'm honestly so upset about this especially since I spent $3,000 on a computer that I can't even use to have some fun as well as work. How to install The Sims 4 on a Mac. First of all, make sure your Mac meets the minimum requirements: Minimum OS – macOS El Capitan (10.11) Metal compatible. CPU – Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz or better. RAM – At least 4Gb RAM. Hard Drive – At least 15Gb of free space with at least 1Gb additional space for custom content. In this case, The Sims 4 did great on my 13-inch MacBook Pro. The game ran at 54.9 FPS, which is almost double our 30 FPS target. These results mean you could slightly increase the graphics settings and still get a smooth experience out of The Sims 4. I have a 2017 Macbook and though I don't know much about the specs, my experience playing sims is fairly decent. I can't play on the highest settings without lag but I can set the graphics to medium and play for hours just fine. Does Sims 4 run well on MacBook Pro? I have the 13″ Macbook Pro with Touch Bar, and The Sims 4 is really smooth with all the packs. Loading screens takes less than a minute. I have a 13″ MBP with Touch Bar as well.
